Echoes of Wisdom marks the biggest change ever in the series when for the first time the main character is Princess Zelda instead of Link as usual.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom begins in a very familiar way with Princess Zelda being kidnapped once again and Link having to take on the responsibility of rescuing her.

Just when it seemed things would end swiftly with Link easily defeating the kidnapper and saving Zelda if that was the case we wouldn’t have a game to play. An evil energy source was unleashed from the enemy’s weapon and consumed our hero. With one final effort, Link succeeded in freeing the princess, only to pass the role of protagonist to Zelda in this game.

You will take on the role of Princess Zelda and embark on a journey to rescue Link. It sounds reversed but this is how Echoes of Wisdom begins. As a princess, Zelda will not rush into enemies to destroy them, instead, your journey will unfold in a gentler way. Our princess has a special ability to copy almost anything from household objects, materials, and even your enemies, and you will have to utilize the things you can create to complete tasks. You will not only overcome obstacles along the way but also be able to defeat those who would hinder you on your quest to rescue Link.

If you are expecting a game with cutting-edge graphics like Breath of the Wild or Tears of the Kingdom, you may be disappointed, because The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom will maintain the cute chibi art style that was seen in the Link Awakening Remake.

• There is no difference between the NSP and XCI formats. They run exactly the same on the emulator.
